About us: A Little Happy Corner Shop started with a simple dream: to create a little corner of the world where people could walk through the door and find something that makes them happy. But the meaning behind “A Little Happy” started long before the shop ever existed. Growing up, my Nana always called those little unexpected treats in life “little happies.” Maybe it was a $5 bill tucked inside a card that came in the mail, a trip to get a sundae, or just a small surprise for no particular reason. She always made sure we had a little happy to enjoy from time to time. They didn't have to be big or expensive — and I think that's what made them so special. It was simply her way of saying, I thought of you, and you deserve a little something to make you smile. That feeling stayed with me. And now, it's exactly what I hope people find when they walk through our doors. Located in the heart of Somersworth, New Hampshire, our shop is more than a gift store. It's a collection of talented local makers, artists, creators, and small businesses all under one roof, filled with handmade gifts, home décor, sweet treats, unique finds, and one-of-a-kind creations. This shop was built during a season of my life that taught me just how quickly life can change and how important family and community truly are. What began as a dream has grown into a place where I hope people feel welcomed, supported, and leave with a little more happiness than they walked in with. Community is at the center of everything we do. When you shop here, you're not just supporting one small business — you're supporting many artists, families, and dreams. The shop is also closely connected to Operation Warmth, our community outreach effort dedicated to providing clothing and essential items to those in need. Being able to grow a business while giving back to the community means more to me than I can put into words. Since receiving the keys to this little corner, it has been a whirlwind of learning, creating, growing, and dreaming bigger. And we're only getting started.
